Check out this site's homepage. There a number of articles explaininf overclocking. many of them have links to primers explaining the ver basics. I'm relatively new at this too and these links have been the main reason I haven't had to replace a motherboard or cpu. Good luck. But be careful, try it once and you're hooked for life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It appears that the Tbird is a Socket A CPU and that the ASUS K7V is a Slot A motherboard. I just don't understand how you could put them together to build your PC system.
Perhaps, you may wish to read the contents of the following thread where you will get the answer: http://forums.overclockers.ws/UltraBoard/UltraBoard.cgi?action=Read&BID=2&TID=119&SID=17933
Thunderbird processors do come in Slot A form factor as well.
