I was wondering if any of you guys could suggest a PSU to buy. I'm only looking for one I can pick up at a store as I can't order it online.

I'm running:

EPOX 8K7A
XP1600
WD 20 Gig & IBM 60 Gig
HP 9500 CDRW
Floppy

I actually will be getting a new HD as the IBM has ****ed me royally to the point no data recovery program I've tried has worked. This is the 2nd one that screwed me & within 4 months as well as the 1st one I got in Feb 02 did the same thing to me.

My problem is I was giving money as a christmas gift but the person wants me to buy something with it specifically which to me doesn't make it a gift as I didn't ask for it so I already shouldn't be buying a PSU but I know I need one since I'm still using the generic one that was with my old comp which was running a K6-2 500 & it is only 250W :(

I'm thinking I need atleast 350 as I want to finally hook up my DVD drive as well & will be running 2 HD's that are working soon ;)

I was looking at CompUsa & see some FMI PSU's which from looking seems to be Fujitsu but I don't think I should. I really don't want to spend more then $60-$70 if possible so any PSU's I can pickup at a store like CompUSA, Best Buy etc is what I need or any stores you might know of in NYC or Long Island

Thanks to all

P.S. The more watts the better as I want to add a bunch of stuff to it & something with a bunch of connectors.

I can't buy it online, it has to be something I can pick up in store. I remember reading how Enermax has some problems with Epox boards.

Got some $$$ to burn?

The 520W Vantec Stealth Aluminum will more than meet your needs. I got this on my system and I love it!

Ditto on the Vantec Stealth. Even the 420W version should be more than enough for what you're doing.

I'm glad I have this PSU; it'll come in handy if I ever build a dual-CPU rig.
