I'm getting the components for my new computer this week but I haven't purchased the case/psu yet.

I was thinking about a "Antec Performance Plus 1080AMG w/ 430W True Power" but I don't know if it is enough for me cause people here on the forum with similar configurations are using 500W+ PSU's :)))

Things im going to run with the PSU:

Abit it-7 max2 v2
P4 2,4b Ghz
Gf0z4 ti4600
2x Corsair 256mb

2x Wd 60gb
1x Wd 80gb
2x Cdroms
USB mouse, USB MidiKeyboard
4x 80mm fans @ 12v

*yes, im planning to overclock cpu/memory/gfx*

Should I try to get the 480W instead or is 430W enough?

thx

Hey there 8D , I have a very simular setup as yours and recently purchased the 1080/AMG along with a Antec TP550 . I purchased the TP550 just to be a bit "more" on the safe side with my voltages over the pre-installed TP430 ( but then again I already had a friend lined up to purchase the TP430 from me :) ) . At this point Iam VERY happy with BOTH purchases (1080/AMG and TP550) . The case is great and the TP550 has nice stable voltages . Iam OC'ed with my 2.26/B0 step @2.75 and ROCK STABLE ( I can go a bit higher but I like to keep my core voltage below 1.7) . ** The two best prices for the 1080/AMG I found were at TCWO (http://www.tcwo.com) (but seems its no longer available :( for $125/ $6.95 ship) or STAPLES (http://www.staples.com/Catalog/Browse/SKU.asp?BCFlag=False&PageType=1&SKU=IM1372076) and then use $30 OFF $150 OFF coupon found HERE (http://coupons.dealnews.com/merchants/staples.com.html) (need to add $6 item such as a printer cover , etc.. to go to $150) . I then purchased the TP550 at BUY.COM (http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10323205&hdwt=0&loc=101) with a $10 OFF $100 coupon found HERE (http://coupons.dealnews.com/merchants/buy.com.html) , shipping was FREE for BOTH . ** All-in-all , the TP430 will most likey be enough , (just as my newly replaced Antec 400 watt PP412X was plenty for my current system for the last year or so , including all my heavy OC'ing ) . My .02 ;)

i would think that should be enough...and if u want to be on the safe side just buy a 500 and you will have more than enough
