Avance AC'97 to Santa Cruz..?

Sometime in the near future I was thinking of getting a new soundcard to put in my system, currently I'm using the on-board sound of my KT3 Ultra 2 (Avance AC'97), and am pretty interested in the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz.

I output my sound to a 200W Aiwa System, and a separate Realistic 12" Sub (100W max) that runs to the stereo.

What kind of (if any) improvement would I notice in sound quality if I were to do this. Also, would adding support for EAX be of any worth?

I think you will notice a cleaner sound. I notice it big time from my second machine to the Santa Cruz machine.

Cool, thanks for the soundoff, I think I'll be waiting until after Xmas to do this however, money's always tighter this time of year..
