I can use the msdos prompt while windows is running to copy files to "C" drive to get at them, but windows 98 will not admit I have an "A" drive when I look in my computer.
How do I fix this?
Y'know, I'm having the same problem in my Win2k. Go figure.
It doesn't really bother me, however. I rarely use my A:

I know this may be relleh uncommon, but check your cord, ur floppy drive one. Make sure the cord is working ie. try on another fdd. If not, go out and buy another cord.
The worse thing i can imagine is that the fdd part on the mobo got screwed up somehow :| good luck both of u.

Well, it works. The drive is 100% functional . . . it's just not displayed in My Computer.

Good to here Oni, just hoping John can get his up :|
Well, it looks like he has the same problem I do: The drive works, it just doesn't show up in My Computer.
If that's not the case, just ignore the raving lunacy of the ninja. He hasn't had enough sleep lately. :sn:

I think it is a ninja drive, it is there, but lurks in the shadows staying out of sight.
There is a reg hack to hide drives, I'll try to find out where it is and the values for it to unhide drives. I know it works in 2K and XP, but I'll check on 98 as well.
Here's one, but not the one I was thinking of:

It may be worth checking though.
