Step by step

I have a new Tbird 800 and A7V board. I just got a Super Orb.. not yet installed. Can someone give me step by step instructions on how to overclock to the highest ( yet safest) speed ?

U can email me if u prefer. I know its a lot to ask, but I can not find any sites with this info.

1) follow the step here to unlock the multiplier. http://www.icon.co.za/~prozesky/tip001.htm

2) Read the portion of you motherboard manual that covers dipswitches. Pay close attention to the multiplier, Vcore, and FSB settings.

3) Set the Vcore to 1.85V

4) Increase the multiplier until the computer fails to post.

5) Back the multiplier down .5X and see if windows loads.

6)If windows loads test the system for stability with the 3D game of your choice. If windows does not load, or is not stable, back the multiplier down another .5X.

7)Start increasing the FSB, take it up one notch at a time until the system becomes unstable. Then throttle the FSB back a notch or two.
