Hey what is everyones favorite operationg system?

Right now its XP Pro for me...I use to be a WIN2K lover which I'm still am but it doesn't have quit all the multimedia capabilities...had some trouble when running WIN2k and doing alot of Multimedia things...

Win2k / XP eats resourses & crashes too much <yucky> it has some nice features but just isnt as reliable IMHO, my kids are moving away from it as well..

XP Pro because it has so much flexibility over the other Windows OS's and it is very easy to tune up the way you like (my old favorite was (Me on my dell laptop)

XP pro and W2k are very close to each other for me. However, XP adds a few things that edges it to the number one spot for me.

1. I switch equipment in my systems often and XP does a better job at installing them than W2k. Oddly, I have never had to reregister any of my XP systems.
2. I find it easier and quicker to tailor for my needs (even with the extra junk I have to remove).
3. I depend on Remote Desktop a lot. You can only connect to other XP or W2k server systems (from what I can find out). Since I am unable to attach to a W2k workstation using remote desktop, I go for XP pro.

W2k is a close second. After that, I like the SuSE release of Linux.

if not for the lack of support for all new programs MSDOS 6.22 would be by far number one. Instead ill choose - wind98se which is the newest microsoft os i will use until i am dragged kicking and screaming into the twentyfirst century.

restart in msdos mode is the most important factor of windows.

Before XP Pro, life was nothing but BSOD's and endless problems with any and all Microsoft products...Glad they got it right, finally...:D

Win98 SE, once you know it like the back of your hand, (or better), it can easily be considered the best of all. I have done away with the look and feel of win98 and done away with just about all of the bugs, and ofcourse i used some tools to perfect the way it is working, (ex. internet dialup)
