What is everyones favorite OS?

Linux forums (http://www.linuxnewbie.org) for the adept and the inept. I do a lot of browsing here. I suggest you do alot too!

I'm far from "with it" when it comes to linux, but i'm no longer a newbie.

Well I think most people here will agree that Linux > Windows, but when it comes to distros, everyone has differing opinions. If you look around a bit in here, you'll be able to see which ones are popular and people's opinions on them.

BeOS of course, BeOS 5.0.3 Pro is one of the best operating systems on earth, Yellowtab's Zeta R1 might be intereasting too.

There's really not much point arguing over which distro is best, but in these civilized forums, I'm sure that that won't happen.
It all depends on your level of experience, the time you have on your hands and how into Linux you want to get. I use 2 distros, but I like Slackware the best for off-line use (ie until I move out in Jan.). If you've got enough bandwidth that you can wait for what you're installing to download, Debian is great. I've also heard some nice things about Gentoo.
You can use Distrowatch (http://distrowatch.com/) to help you decide.

Actually, I believe that this was an opinnion poll to see if everyone in Alt.OS would say some flavor of Linux/Unix, and everyone in MS.OS would say Windows. :D
My vote, as cast in the other thread is FreeBSD, followed by Win2k.
