There is an excellent thread at Rage3D about a foolproof method of installing and/or updating your ATI drivers. Like lots of other people, I have had many, many problems with ATI drivers. The instructions in this thread have made my life SO much easier.

If you ever have a new ATI card to install and want to do it right the first time, or you just want to update your drivers, please read this thread. It is just excellent!

I tell ya. I used to hate ATI cards, because of the driver problems. I'm still not real happy with them, but at least I have minimized my troubles by using this guide. It has really helped me with ATI cards.

I've found myself actually recommending the Radeon 8500, lately. Only for people who can't afford a GF4 Ti4200, of course;)
