which one?

im looking at either a volcano 7+ or 9 which one should i go 4 to use on an 1800 T-Bred A. I know there are better ones but these are the only 2 i have avalible 2 me.

I would get the Volcano 7 as its made from copper and looks real nice. It's also ranked higher in the overclockers.com heatsink ranking:

I would definitely go for the Volcano 7+, because it performs better. The only thing the Volcano 9 has over the Volcano 7+, as far as I can tell, is that it mounts to the socket using the three lugs, while the Volcano 7+ clips to only one of the three on each side. This may or may not be a problem.


BoB NaPaLm, you do mean Volcano 7+ and not just Volcano 7, right? I ask this because there actually is a Volcano 7, and it is very similar to the Volcano 9.

oops. Yes I did mean the Volcano 7+ not that silly blue volcano 7 lol. Thanks for pointing that out mate ;)
