dual modems how does it work?

hi, i got the telephone people to finally come out and put in second phone line. to my surprise i connect at 50k and my old phone line connects at 26.4k and nothing better than that. so when i got on line with my 2 modems it said i was conncted at 75k.i was really surprised and then when i disconnected the old phone line it said i was connected at 50k on the new one. what i would like to know is how dual modems work for d/l and playing games??thanks.

I don't think you will see much performance differance with online gaming, still not enough bandwidth, but it should help out the downloads quite a bit, I to am on a very poor dialup connection, but Cable is available, just gotta convince the Mrs that we really need it,she says I spend too much now.

The tricks is too find something she likes on the web and then find something big that takes forever to download.

Once I got my wife hooked on MP3s, she was like "Umm, this is too slow"
"Well, you're the one who won't let me get DSL."

A few months later...

The wife: "Umm, what happened to my DSL?"

"Ahh, the ISP had a bit of trouble and it's down so I reinstalled the modem. You can use that for a while."

"#&@!^% modem! I think i'll go to bed."

Gotta love bandwidth.
