Heh.. never noticed this before. I was moving my palomino 2100+ from one mobo to another, cleaned the CPU core and the HS with isopropylic alcohol, and you know what I saw in the bottom of the HS? the text from the AMD palomino core! It is actually burned into the copper base... with a little good will, I can read the text and all..

Awesome huh? and no matter how much I rub the copper base, its still there, so it must be burned into the copper.

Really proves how hot the core gets...

It's not burned into the copper. With 14lbs - 24lbs clip tension you can expect to have the impression of the core on such a soft material.

Woah.. incredible... tiny characters like those capable of marking on copper...

While copper certainly is a soft material, I just cant believe something that tiny could leave a print on it that easily.

woah...
