Have any of you all ordered an 1800 tbred from newegg. I assume all of the 1800 are RevB, but wanted to make sure that the ones from newegg did well.

rev A man
no low speed revB are out yet.2400 is the lowest one.

So far, all the 1800 tbreds are still RevA.

Which is a good thing right?

And how the heck did you get that cpu to 2.29 volts and 2.037 without water cooling?!!

no u want a revB when possable.cooler running.and generaly oc better.

Hmm.. suckage, guess i'm stuck between waiting a little bit and just getting a 1600xp. I really wanted 1.9 though, or maybe even 2ghz.

well, if it were a tbredB it would run cooler and very likely hit a higher speed than a tbredA would. tbredAs dont seem to be much if any better than some of the newer palominos

the 1800 tbred revA usually does 2ghz no prob.
it does oc better than a palomino tho.
so id take the 1800 tbred over a 1600 palomino.

Welp, that was the word of experience I was looking for. And I won't blame you for the outcome :D
I've gotta figure out how to get rid of all the empty spaces under my posts.

What gets me is that like yermomlluvus said, I assume the newer pally's have the process down pretty well, and with a SKL800 I'm just not sure I'm gonna get much more outa the Tbred, specially as hot as it seems to run with the extra voltage. Whereas the SKL800 is practically extreme cooling for a pally.

Damned if I do, Damned if I don't. Gonna go flip a friekin' coin and hope my Christmas present to myself doesn't ruin my holiday.

just to give u a better referance.
most 1800 tbreds are beating my 2200.
im bored with my chip now and need a better replacement.
only a few 1600's ever come close to my 2200 or beat it.it does 2ghz.GL!

btw mine isnt as hot as everyone say they are.the heat issue come up when the vcore goes high.and one thing ive noticed once a tbred hits a certain oc no amount of vcore will get it higher.

Thanx guys, I appriciate the input. I'm gonna go with the Tbred. If nothing else, I'm gonna get 1.53 over 1.4 regardless

2 words for each question.

volt mod in order to hit 2.29v. and

Winter air. I open the windows in my study room and let the room temp drop below 15c.

Hehe, I hear that. I do the winter thing too. Unfortunatly, now that I live in florida.....well 72 degrees F every day doesn't quite do it ;) and summers are brutal on my cpu, especially with the humidity.
