View Full Version : Overclocking Geforce3 Ti 200
Tried to see how far I could take my card today with absolutely no video quality loss. I tested with processor and fsb all at stock speeds. Also, my video card has stock cooling.
177/400 stock speed
3Dmark2001 score- 4137
What I was able to obtain with no visual qualtiy loss:
200/533
3Dmark2001 score- 4813
Any getting better results? (with NO visual quality loss)
BTW- I'm using Powerstrip to oc
well I think your score is low.. I could get 6130 with a pIII 1.13 ghz and gainward ti200 @ 240/520... try getting a Tt crystalorb and go higher on the gpu.
yeah I thought the same thing when I was comparing it with the other geforce3 ti 200's on madonion's (or whatever they call themselves now) website! Everyone is in the 6000's
Doe's your have 64MB Ram or 128?

You almost assuradly have AA checked on. Or AF. I've made this mistake before. Your T-bird should get a lot higher.
I think something may be messed up woth your system- my rig gets a higher score, with the same CPU and only a Geforce2.
Like lebe0024 said, I would check AA. And make sure I had the latest 4-in-1s, never hurts to check :D

I'm running mine at 240/508, look in sig... very satisfied with the performance of this card, 64MB Gainward Golden Sample... getting a Radeon 9500 Pro for christmas though, so that will be somethingfun to play with :D
Overclocked it as high as Powerstrip will allow-
233/533
There were a few "twitches" here in there in picture quality, but nothing major.
3Dmark2001 Score- 6910 (so close to 7000!)

Download RivaTuner, IMO its the best for nvidia cards and will allow for a better overclock.. I would suggest going a little lighter on the memory and more on core, the twitches should be gone

I used Coolbits on the Gainward Ti-200 GS and got to 235/510. At that speed i get around 9300 for 3dmark2001se. Would Riva Tuner get it higher?
Would Riva Tuner get it higher?
If you cooled your card good enough, yeah, Riva allows higher clocks than coolbits does...unless you do the Simpsons' reghack, in which case they are about the same (for clocks) but Riva can fine tune your driver better for benching, so it'll probably give you higher scores anyway.

JML go into performance configuration on powerstrip double click the little gpu and change the number to 160 then do that with the little DDR sign
