meh, i hope the cache is spread out on both sides of the core for better heat dissapation, probably not though :(
Wish it was more "square" too

Well that kind of sucks. It looks like it will allow for higher clock speeds to be reached, but there's virtually no performance gain from a Tbred of the same speed. They should have increased the L2 bus...

That core should cool better. :)

well if u look at the graphs in the link there is a perfomance gain.very little one tho.
heat should be about the same as a tbred b,mabey the barton core is the tbred C there have been rumors about.
im not waiting to buy a barton.ill buy a tbred B next week ,and upgrade to a barton if i get bored again.

I hate to brag... but I can read chinese.... after finish reading entire article... I gave a summary about that article in this thread..

difference between barton and t-bred b is die size and also... it no longer using the pr number but actually running mhz. the barton on that site supposed to be AMD 2500+ with FSB 166mhz. its actual running speed is only 1833mhz (11x166) and its performance using Sandra and 3dmark to make comparision, is only equivilent of a AMD 2200+. However, it is extremely OC able (maybe because it was hand picked sample) and they can OC it to 2250mhz ad get a PR rating of AMD 3000+ XP. It has a larger L2 cache 512kb but no real noticable performance gain.

I wonder if it will be factory unlocked.
