Does a faster PSU fan helps cooling the system temp? The fan on my psu has a 'noise killer' device that i think is a temp controlled resistor. Will clipping it off and running the psu fan at full speed help lower the temps? It's a single fan 300W psu.

Generally PSU just barly handle exhausting their own heat but if you run it at full speed it should draw out some case heat.
