planned on a Ti 4400 (MSI's with DVI-i) what would i need to do to get my computer monitor to display tv? i don't wanna shell ou t 400 for the AIW9700 and the AIW8500 is to slow IMO

You need a TV Tuner card. However, if your ti4400 has video in, you can hook up a vcr, which is tuned into tv stations, and watch tv on it.

Buy a TV tuner separately from your video card. If you buy them together/integrated (and like it) you'll lose it when you upgrade.

hauppage is supposed to have some pretty good tv tuners, for very little money, under 40 i think. i have an msi one, but it doesnt work on my computer. i did put it in a friends box to make sure the thing actually worked, and the picture was great. better then the hauppage he has, but mine was 60 something dollars. now if i can just get it to work.....
I have a Huappage WinTV go PCI and it works great, also for recording as well. Also has FM radio. I highly suggest it... don't touch the USB version. Its just crap, USB 1.0 is too slow and I don't think they make a USB 2.0 version.

cool thanks i'll prolly buy one seperate and just get a 9700pro. bang for the buck
