More ram wont help you a bit. Better ram like Corsair or Mushkin will allow for higher FSB. All this is somewhat useless if you dont have good cooling. Get a good heatsink and they you can worry about upgrades.

that stock HS is good for even low overclocking!

I would go with the heatsink.

The better HSF will help the OC. Most Pent4s will OC even with an average sink. I just did a 2.26 with an all aluminum mediocre sink up to 2.55 with the FSB @ 150. Check the this site for a list of good sinks compared. Tomshardware.com also had a big comparison a few months ago.

Top of the line memory will get you more performance. Corsair "CAS2" XMS memory will allow you to run at "turbo" timings in the BIOS even if u overclock. You current ram probaby cannot do this. Turbo settings when overclocked yield about 7% more speed on 3D Mark2001.

Also make sure u have at least 2 extra fans blowing OUT the back of the case besides the PS fan.

More than 512 of ram will actually SLOW your 3D Mark performance slightly.

Cosair??? And Mushkin??? Are those just the ram..... And Apacer or Kingston just uses them to make a card? 512 ddr ram will slow you down?

Corsair and Mushkin are two of the best brands of ram. PC2100 ram will most likely slow him down. It has nothing to do with size.

Definately hsf... I've got a p4 1.4 I took from 512 to 1024 and didn't do much for me...
