Well, I had previously posted (months ago), about having a problem with my GF2 MX-400 crashing to the desktop while running any detonator past 29.32, but running perfectly fine in games and everything else. Well, I just found out that it a combination of the Via 4-in-1's and the newer detonators that is the cause of the problem. I just ran 3DMark21SE 3 times without the crash to desktop I was having earlier. This is after installing the new Via "hyperion" 4-in-1's. So this resolves two questions floating around. The CTD that some people have experienced, with the GF2 chips, and the the question of wether or not the new Via AGP drivers do anything for the older chipsets. In both cases, they add stability (in my case at least). I have not made a run to top my pesonal best in 3DMark, but I will in a few days. Too much on my plate to be tweaking my system right now. It's 3:00AM Dec.24th and I have to be at work in 6 hours. I just got a little excited when out of idleness I decided to run 3dmark before bed (I haven't had a chance to run it since installing the via drivers). To my surprize, it ran 3 consecutive times, and only 200 points away from my top score with a mild OC on the vid card.
