slots

i dun agree with some ppl say that we can put our ram to any slot.normally for all mobo got 3 or 2 ram slot.i got 2 stick of 256mb ddram and i put at slot 1 and 2.when i change it to slot 2 and 3,the sisoft sandra memory benchmark point drop.so if u want to put your ram,make sure u put it from slot 1 onwards.

I remember some guy talking about DIMM slots sharing resources on some motheboards - I have been meaning to look it up on the internet to find the exact workings of it - but perhaps its something to do with that...

Thats very interesting. I have to change my slots, because I didnt think it mattered before. Thanx for the info.
