Connecting Headphones w/o disconnecting speakers?

How can I do this?

I have a sb Live! Value 5.1 with 5.1 speakers connected to 3 of those ports. front, back, and center/sub. There are 2 other ports, but they won't work my headphones.

I have a burner w/ headphone ports, If i connect that digital cable to my soundcard from the burner, will i get sound out of that port?

I was j/w b/c I got some headphones for x-mas and would like to use them :D.

You could use one of these if you had an on/off button or a vol. button on your speakers, big chanse....no

And I don't know how it would work with a 5.1 system.

5.1 has 3 channels. Front left/right : Back left/right : Center & Sub.

I'd just split the Front left/right.
