OEM cards are clocked lower than retail but a little overclocking will fix that right up!

actually with the 9500 pro they are all clocked the same retail or oem or third party. ati has mandated this with all pro series cards. non pro's however will still get varying clock speeds.

many of the OEM cards have a max res of 1024x768

well, thank you for bringing this to my attention, I just noticed that the card I wanted to get IS OEM. You guys think this (http://www.fticomputer.com/cgis/detail.cgi?product=VB-ATI-XR97-C3LP&secat=VB) is still ok?

where are you getting that information. because it just isn't true. I've never seen an oem have lower res than a retail. I'm not saying its impossible but certainly liminited in its occurance.

the fic one looks different and i too highly doubt the different res, all PRO versions will be clocked the same...

the saphire OEM has 1024x768 max res so for the love of god do not buy the saphire OEM

Which saphire card are you talking about? That sounds highly improbable to me. There's no reason why a company would cripple their product like that. Please explain where you get your info and which Saphire cards are impacted. If you're right, this is a serious flaw.

I have trouble believing this until I see something to support it.
