Well i am having quite a few so i will list them and hope for some help.

First off i am using Loggittech z640 5.1 speakers. And the center channel will not work in dvds or games that support 5.1 sound. I have it plugged into the versa jack hole and i have 5.1 set in windows and in the Santa Cruz control panel.

Second i am getting crackling out of all the speakers.

Third sometimes the sound will cut out when i am playing games.

System:
Athlon 1ghz
Some oem mobo
Geforce4 ti4400
256mb sdram

Well looks like this is going back to Newegg. The sound crapped out for the 4th time in bf1942 so i guess i have to get an audigy or a game theater cause i am not putting up with this again even if it is a lemon. Now if ic ould get some money i might be able to get a whole new comp :)

well first for the center channel to work you might have to press that little matrix button

that just mimics the two left and right channels. But somehow i got it to work... i installed SP1 and a bunch of windows updates and some new drivers and then it worked. Not sure how not gonna ask cause i will break it again :)

You probably had the old drivers from the CD. I ran into the same problem when going to WinXP. After loading the new drivers everything was fine!

That may be it...

The first thing you should do after getting a new component or building a computer is download all the new drivers.
