RAID 0 qhestion?

Hi there all.
I am running a RAID 0 setup with 2 identical 40Gb Matrox ata 133 7200rmp HDs. I have used my onboard RAID controller on my Motherboard, but i only get 27000 points when i Benchmark in SiSoft. This is also after a Clean install of XPpro.
But i see the in SiSoft that a similar settup with ATA 66 HDs benchmarks Higher.
Is this due to a bad quality Onboard RAID controller, and if i bought a seperate but GOOD RAID controller would i see an improvment.

Do a search for ATTO in this section & then DL it. SiSoft Sandra is not a reliable HDD performance benchmark unless you have matching Driver & RAID BIOS setup or if Sandra like you;) In any case use ATTO.

You can get it HERE (http://attotech.vwh.net/software/index.html) click on the Applications | Tools | Utilities | Download then follow the prompts there. It is completely free so don't worry about it. Since you did find that other thread of mine;) make sure to follow the settings then post your results there.

ATTO BridgeTools for FibreBridge 1100D,2100R,2200R/D,3100R,3200R

ATTO BridgeTools for FibreBridge 1180E,1190E,1290E,2300E/R/D,3300R,4500C/R/D

None of those, its the Applications | Tools | Utilities | Download like I mentioned above.
