Hi guys !
I got my Prometia.
Check out my sig ! ;)
Ok now my question:
IT'S ****in`heavy and not good to transport so i think about selling it and buy a good watercooling thing.
Waht u think about it ?
Pros and cons plz !
Thx a lot !

for the ease with which this system works (ie very little tinkering and maintenance once installed) i would keep it... and its worth it for the temps it gets. i would seriously consider modding the case before i would seriously think of getting rid of the prometia. many people install heavy duty handles on their cases, and though it doesnt make it lighter a handle can make them feel so because the case wont be as awkward to carry. also i would consider using a luggage carrier, the type with rollers. i would wrap/ line the carrier with rubber matting so that the vibration of rolling the comp doesnt damage hd's or anything else. just my ideas - i say keep it.
keep it- its the coolest out there. either put commercial casters on it, or use a luggage carrier

I know but i eally loved my Watercooled system.
It was so quiet... (Pro is not that much loud but it louder than my super silent sys has been...)
:(
Tomorrow iLL check what i would get for her.

With a good quality watercooler system using a pelt your looking at 10c temps....if you do it right. That promy is loud and heavy. Yes it cools good but anything below 10c is not necessary.
I would say go for the watercooling with pelt. That will cool awsome and be quiet/light.

Absolutely incorrect. The lower you get the cpu, the better overclock you will get.The prometia will cool better than watercooling and a pelt, that is for sure.Plus with a pelt and watercooling, you need loud fans.Either that or a large radiator.

Definetly keep it.
Put it this way- you can replenish all those atrophied muscles by moving it around all the time :D

Too heavy, too loud.

Nigma...I doubt he will be brining his p4 thats overclocked to 4gHz to any lan parties so the extreme cooling that a promy offers is not neccesary. Watercooling and a pelt will do just fine and be much lighter.

Well he needs to grow some muscles.By saying p4 at 4ghz, do you mean his XP2400+ at 2499mhz? ;)

Well, I am not going to sell my prometia. I have my case almost finished for it. Granted it will never be a box to take to a lan party, that is why I plan on having the LAN parties at my house. HEHE. Sure it is heavy, sure it makes more noise compared to water. But it sure is COLD.
Different strokes for different folks

Well, that's why people USUALLY have LAN Computer's, you don't give up your hard-duty cooling, just for some dumb ol lanparties, that you may attend 10 in total.
Why why why why WHY!?

Cause water also cools good but its:
- more quiet (no noise at all...)
- doesn't need that much power (20 bucks a month for that cooling thing is not less - caus it runs 24/7
- ****in' heavy (oh yes it is...)
- it heats up my room about 3° an hour
- too loud for me !!!

Anyone else lost here??.......;)
I have been wanting to make one of those micro computers that shuttle has. Kinda fun to show up to a lan party with one and be able to run UTK2003 at high settings with 80fps........
Plus the little SOB's are extremely easy to transport. That coupled with a large high end LCD would make the ultimate LAN rig :D :D :D
