Im looking at a 512mb stick of this for only $124 with 50 cents 2day shipping at googlegear. What i want to know is how good of an overclock it is, and if it can run aggressive timings.

Also, would buying a heatspreader for it help with overclocking? Heres the heatspreaders im looking at...

Any and all advice on different ram (trying to keep it cheap here...dont have a lot to spend) is very welcome.

I was going to buy some val;ue ram today but they don't use winbond chips anymore. they are samsung. I passed on the pc 2700 valuram and bought some true sammy 3200.

Hmmm...well, im still open to ideas. Anybody have any ideas on some good PC2700 for about $130 or so? Googlegear has awesome deals on shipping, so im hoping to get it there ($0.5 for 2 day:)

I think ill stick with Googlegear for the final purchase ;) (cant beat 50 cent 2 day shipping :) )

Ive also been looking at the Crucial PC2700 512MB stick at Googlegear for $132...whats ur guys opinion on it over the Kingston? Keep the advice coming too...i want to get the best i can get for as close to $130 as possable

Actually, shipping is free on newegg for ram right now. Pushed it over 400MHz just to see and it runs stable and well above the Sis 3200 chip in Sandra.

I just checked...free for the 5-8 day ground...not 2 day :) 2day at Newegg was over $11

Anybody have any info about the Crucial ram? How good of an overclocking ram is it?

I just picked up 512 2700 kingston from newegg that falls in your price range:

Right now I'm running it at 355MHz perfectly stable, hitting 2840 Mb/s in Sandra (3200 is at 2900) at 2.5 cas and I'm pretty certain that I'll be able to run it perfectly stable at levels well above 3200 when I decide to push it.
