I have an A250 Leadtek LE Geforce Ti4200.

The card no longer overclocks well as it did at 300mhz GPU and 610mhz DDR. The card now is stable at 275mhz and 610mhz DDR.

On the very back of the video card, and exactly behind the GPU, there are four main brownish colored capacitors or diodes arranged in a square, many small ones in between.

One of the 4 capcitors had blown out a while back as I discovered.

I need to know where I can find a replacement capacitor. Since I got this card for free, and the warranty is void from the previous owner for lapping the GPU, how do I find the blown capcitor number to get a new capacitor and solder it back in place of the old one?

The old one is blown to smithereens and is almost non-existant!!

I can't enclose a screeny because of my low quality digital camera.

Sorry. But it looks like this on the back of the GPU

As of now I am researching some electronics companies and shops in my area. I live in Orange County, CA.

Thank You for all efforts and assistance.

Well I want to overclock it back up to where it used to be.

SO I must find the part at an electronics shop.

Anyone know what else I can do? I searched online with no good results, but I know of local Electronics shops that I will hit up today.

Anyone know where I can get the rating of these blown SMD capacitors. The electronics shop closed early today for new years eve. I might just have to wait. But is there a place that has PDF specs on the TI 4200 in regards to the circuit lay out design or a list of parts used? Besides Nvidia?

Thanks.

Been there, sorta done that. Installed my Ti4400 in a system that had a battery placed a little oddly (on it's side right at the end of the board lined up just above the AGP Slot). Turns out the battery housing scraped off one of the surface mounted resistors. Still works like a charm. No clue where that little bugger went.
