Do you think that's possible???

Hi guys and gals,

I've got a little problem with my new Epox BX6SE Bios, to be exact with some options that I'd need but that are not present in the Epox BIOS.

The Epox uses Award Bios Version 4.51!

Now my question is, would it be possible to flash an Abit BF6 Bios in it???
Well, I had a look at both boards, because I have both and they use the same chipset(bx-chipset) and the same clock-generator(Realtek RTMxxxx, can't remember exactly) and even the hardware monitoring chip is the same(Winbond W83782D).

So would it be possible, that the Award 6.00 BIOS whic was written for an Abit BF6/BE6-II also works in the Epox Board???

me thinx yer askin for big trouble. make sure u have a spare bios chip if and when u do it

I don't think that it'll cause any trouble, that's why I'll try it.

I'll try something similar across MSI 645 and a ABIT IT7 MAX, the differences are much greater.
Be careful not to short pins when removing chips under power, I'll try to shrinkwrap my tools beforehand...
