The 128mb card would be much better with todays games, and upcoming games like Doom 3. Especially if u get a good one that can overclock to 300/300 like my old one could

8500 should be better then 8500LE, with any amount of memory, unless you can o/c the LE to 8500 speed. Mabe it will change in future games

i got my hands on an 8500le and i right click >properties > settings > advanced > adapter and it says that internal dac = 350Mhz does that mean the card is runnign at 350?

btw.. id go with the 8500 for the reason that it has a faster clock. 128 doesnt help that much on a slower card.

EDIT: nevermind.. i just dl'ed powerstrip and it told me what the speeds are....

I've since seen a review somewhere today that showed the 8500LE 128MB out-performed the 8500, not by much. I also learned the 8500LE 128MB doesn't support dual VGA and the 8500 does. And so for the dual VGA support I just bought a used 8500 64MB on eBay for $81 shipped.
