I have an msi GF4 ti4200 with 64mb of ram that doesnt seem to overclock. I have used riva tuner to overclock the card, but when I run 3D mark the score stays the same as if I never overclocked it. For trouble shooting I have checked to make sure the tuner knows I overclocked it, it says it did. I have the lastest detonator drivers for my card. Any suggestions?

you might try downloading the coolbits reg hack and overclocking the card that way...just to be sure your not having a problem with Riva

Try using hardware level overclocking with rivatuner, or if you already tried hardware level overclocking try the driver level overclocking, because the msi ti4200's have an excellent user base that has acheived excellent overclocking results, me being one of them.

Just so no one gets a wrong impression here...the MSI GFTi4200 64mb card O/C's great! I use, coolbits & Power strip to O/C mine(I prefer coolbits).

What fps are you getting in 3dmark2001se? Are you stuck at 64fps?

I've been able to o/c my MSI ti4200 to 316/651 with a 13,312 score in 3dmark2001, so I can attest to the fact that the MSI is a great overclocker. And I use Riva tuner to o/c it.

Give us more info on your problem and we'll see if we can help you.

Ive installed coolbits to overclock my msi ti4200 128mb vid card. But the highest memory available is 560mhz only.

So far runnin at 275/550 with no problems at all.

Hmm power strip and riva tuner gotta try those programs out.

And anyways what are the suitable refresh rate of the monitor to run 3dmarkse

at stock I get 10700 3D marks. When my card is overclocked I get 10700. When I try driver level overclocking with Riva Tuner it says that it needs to detect my default settings, when I tell it to detect them it just goes back to a blank box next to "enable driver level overclocking." And I cannot change the settings of the card.

Dees try hardware level overclocking, that may solve the problem. also don't let it detect just bump up your speed. And don't forget to click the test and then apply buttons.
