If all you need to do is overclock, you might want to take a look at Radclocker (http://www28.brinkster.com/chrisww1942/). Just adds a single tab in the control panel for overclocking.

i was a die-hard powerstrip (cracked of course, nag free) for the longest time. then i installed radeonator 2.0 (http://users.skynet.be/bk265512/Main.htm)! thats about all there is to it. this app is amazing and it doesnt run in the background. it sets the reg and then goes away. plus you can set profiles for all your favorite benches and games. check it out, if you use any radeon, you wont be disapointed :cool: !
