Doing so would mean running the ram out of spec... like overclocking really. It is certainly possible that it will work fine, though my own experience with running slow modules at stricter timings has been poor.

If I were you I'd simply try it and test for stability using programs like memtest86 http://www.memtest86.com/ and Prime95 http://www.memtest86.com/ . Good luck.
