View Full Version : 8500 le, which drivers?
8500 came in the mail with saphire cd driver ver 12-001. should i use these or is there something better? thanks
you can try the omega drivers . thats what im using with my 8500le
you can get them here http://www.omegacorner.com/
thanks for the advice. look like a fellow bx-er! got the 8500 in and running, my 3dm2001 score went from 500 to 6000! i will look at the omega site, thanks again...
way to go!! nice score with the 8500, see if you can bring it up even more!! another 5500 jump? :D
if only i could get 3DMark 2001 to work for me....
i think another 5500 3dmark would need about 2 more ghz and ddr...but i do have a tualy celeron 1.1a to stick in here, i will see if i can get more out this bx board yet. when i got the tnt2 it was $80 dollars and 2 generations behind, now i got the 8500 for $90 dollars and it's about 2 generations behind. i can hardly believe the improvement, what will i get for under $100 in 2 more years? by then i will join you in finally abandoning the ol' bx...have fun with your new system
Logos give those omega drivers a try. They boosted my scores a good bit. The extra features the drivers include is also pretty cool.

Yeh... Omegas are nice drivers. You should try them before trying the ATI ones. My experience with Omega was great since it was stable and the speed was comparable to the stock ATI ones.
