I have a Lian -Li PC-75. Before starting to cut with my dremel and jigsaw on that case, I need your opinion. With a maze 3 block, a DD GF4 block, L30 and 1/2" tubing everywhere, will I see a difference in my temps whether I use:

this heatercore : http://dtekcustoms.safeshopper.com/19/92.htm?956 Dimensions(with tanks) are 6"W x 7"H X 2"Thick.

or this heatercore: http://jpiperformance.com/xlr120radiator.htm Dimensions(with tanks) are 6 1/2"W x 11"H X 2"Thick.

I know that with the XLR 120 Rad has enough surface to run quiet fans at low rpm and still get good cooling. The XLR is a bit too wide for the top of the case so I need to remove some alu in the way. Not a big deal though. The D-tek one fits without having to mod the top at all.

I want good cooling but will not use Pelts. So which heatercore should I use? And If I go with a shorter heatercore like the D-Tek one, I much CFM do I need?

I want good temps but I'm looking for silence mainly.

thx.

I did not see much specs on that xlr120 radiator on the link you gave, but the dtek heater core is very good already. I doubt that the xlr120 will perform better actually. In any case, if you are looking for a quiet fan duet, you can also do this with the dtek core by setting it up in a push/pull config.

http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=153790 check this guys database out, you'll find the size you want and you can look at the variable cars they are used in, then go to advancedautoparts.com or autozone.com and run a fedco part number search to find which one is cheapest. then cut off the inlet and outlet pipes and either solder or goop some new barbs on. this is what i did, and i found that exact same copper core for 21 dollars. It had different barbs, but i just cut them off and gooped new ones on

Thanks,

Now I have to sell the XLR and Scoop I have. They are new but I can't even post in the classified to sell them because I don't have 100 post.....what kinda rule is that!
