Hi, first post here, thought you guys might be the right ones to ask for help.

Just got my new system yesterday, p4 2.53 C1 and a BE7-raid mobo.
I'm now testing stability and I get these really high temps.
While running prime95 my northbridge temp goes from aroudn 40C (at boot) to 70+C. At this point winbond monitor starts to warn me that the temperature is too high (duuh).

Thing is, the heatsink on the NB is not at all hot. A bit hotter than ambient.

Cpu temp is also a bit high, 62C.
Open case and a good layer of AS3 underneath the cpu.
Computer is completely prime95 stable and I wonder, should I do something about the NB?

Thanks

I've been reading over at the abit usa forums about how hot the be7 runs. Seems theres a bug in the temp reading of this board because it's really not that hot. Here's one thread about this. You could put a chipset fan on it with some AS3. This may help if there really is a temp problem.
