View Full Version : DVD playback won't work
I upgraded my detonator drivers the other day. Today I put in a DVD and couldnt' watch it!! Any ideas on what might be causing this? I first tried it with Power DVD and it said that there was a problem with the TV out on the video card turned on (I don't know how to turn it off) and then the player that came with the DVD said that there was problem and it might help to restart. So I restarted and same things. What gives? Is my video card screwed or is my computer screwed or what? How can I fix this? I tried several different DVD's with the same result.
Thanks in advance.

what error code is it? it's probably because of the new det's you installed try this site (http://www.blisware.com/support_powerdvd_errorcodes.htm)
There is no error code. It just says that the TV out on my card is not configured properly, and due to Macrovision it will not work. It goes through the opening FBI warning thingy, but will not go to the main menu of the DVD.
HELP!!

Yog, did this work for you...I am having the exact same problem. What is happening is when I start PowerDVD it plays through the warning and then gets the error message that you stated, and then when I click detailed it says "this copy protected disc can not be played when TV out function is enabled."
Does anyone know how to either turn off video out or fix this error? I obviously read the thread, but I don't want to go ahead an uninstall somthing when there might be another fix.
Thanks to all
Well the only solution that I have found so far is to reinstall the old drivers. I did that and it worked just fine. I guess we will just have to wait for Nvidia to come out with a better driver. Until then we are stuck with the old driver. Oh well.
