well, since my Via Aqua died, I've switched over to the Maxi-Jets. I gotta say, this little 1200 is very nice. my only qualms with it is that its not quite as easy to fit as the Vias cause it lacks thread. but nothing a little creative trip to home depot, $5, and a little silicone sealant couldnt fix 
On the plus side, the pump is silent, pushes a lot of water, its real small so it can fit anywhere, and even better, its very cool running (much cooler to the touch than my Via). all in all, a very good pump. now lets just see if its more reliable
