I currently am running a 64mb Ti4200 and want a 128mb anything.
At Googlegear they have a ton of cards but too many to pick just one LOL!
Any suggestions? I'm running the board listed below and will be upgrading to a 2600+ 333MHz Athlon as well.
I am not worried about cost since I am asking for the best performing nVidia 128 available.
Thanks!

the highest performance Nvidia 128mb right now at googlgear would be the Msi 8x 4600, now for the price i think its a ripoff because not only can you get better cards for cheaper (9700) if you wait a month or two you can get FX;)

Thanks Funny. No offense but you couldn't give me an ATI/Radeon card. I'd just sell it. :D
I totally forgot about the FX and maybe the 128s will be a lot cheaper then as well eh?
As for 8x I should say right now. 4x is just fine with me. I'm not overly impressed with the 8x option at the moment. Maybe this time next year or later on this year it will be worth having. JMHO.

i agree with 8X not being utilized right now, but you asked for the highest performing one at googlegear, and that was it :)....but yeah id wait for FX....

Good point. I sometimes forget that when you post in a forum, others have no choice but to take you litterally on every term and sentance.
I guess I'm looking for the best 128 NON 8x that will work with my Soyo KT400 UP well. LOL :D

I'll just keep my opinion to myself, but going for a GF4 card right now is a waste of cash, as there are better performing, better looking, and more featureful cards out there...for cheaper

Why is a GF4 a waste of cash. They work just fine as my current one has proven to me, but there are too many to just go buy new 128MB one. I am looking for a GeForce4 and not any other card so any reply trying to get me to buy something else or telling me it's a waste of cash is a usless and unwanted post reply and I fail to understand why it's so hard for people to just answer someones question instead of just saying don't be an idiot because it's not what you would do or want. This isn't about you, this is about me looking for assistance in getting a nVidia GeForce4 and not wanting to buy a version that will create more problems than needed IE Gainward anythings.
Thank all the same for your response.

Im simply trying to to point out a wiser decison on the case. It isnt "my opinion", its fact. There are cards out today, or will soon be on shelves, that are in every way, shape, and form, better then the GF4 Ti cards, and at equivilent prices. Do i have anything against the GF4 cards, no, not at all. Im just saying, from a price/performance ratio, u can get much better then a Ti4600.

I wouldn't buy any card right now that wasn't DX9 compliant, but that's just personal preference.
I had a Ti4200, but switched to a 9700 Pro (only a few days ago). Absolutely an awesome card. I score mid 15's all day long with all stock settings on 3dmark 2k1. Six months ago, I wouldn't have even considered ATI, but they have changed their ways and are supporting their product lines more than ever.
But, if your mind is made up, then I would buy a Leadtek Ti4600.
You might look at Albatron too...4600's are getting hard to find now..For the cost savings, you should also consider one of the high performance Ti4200's. Still one of the best cards ever made IMO.

Thanks anyway guys. I won't buy ATI/Radion anything sorry. If I wanted an ATI I would not have posted in the nVidia forum.
I'll find one on my own at this point.

I am still deciding on what one. I'm leaning to a Asus 128MB 8x Ti4600 from Googlegear (I love Googlegear!) but I'm still not sure yet. I have been talking to a few other buddies who have Ti4600s and Ti4200s and so far it seems that there really isn't that much of a noticable differance in performance over my current Ti4200 except the 64MB to 128MB. memory factor. I just know that the 64MB doesn't do anything near a 128MB card!!
