is there much point in buying a 9700 pro over the 9700. is there any hardware difference at all? if not then cant the 9700 just be overclocked to 9700 pro speeds for the same performance?

the only difference is clock speeds, the 9700Pro guarantees them to you...personally i wouldnt get a 9700Pro for the extra money, but then again i wouldnt get a 9700 either...

I *think* the R9700PRO comes with faster RAM, and is also clocked higher, as well.....And you don't need to flash the BIOS to overclock it:)

try it, and you will see why it is worth the money. The graphics , make the pictures look almost real. Beats the 4600 Geforce 128mb card I had vfor a while. I rma's it to the comapny and they replaced it with this one. It does a good job.

There is a hardware difference between the Pro and non-Pro flavors...that is the Pro has 2.8ns RAM, and the non-Pro has 3.6 i believe. Other then that, clock speeds is it...but i can say that my 9500 Pro is still able to ge well beyond 9700 Pro speeds, so a 9700 non-Pro will be able to jus fine.

ive actually pretty much decided on the 9500 pro also. evnas: which one do you have. im thinking about the saphire. it has the black pcb and shiny fan. that is the important thing right?
