Hi,

A few months ago, I killed my P3V4X. (don't ask how :D) It had the perfectI CS clockgen... In about a week or so, I'll have another P3V4X, which I think will not have the ICS clockgen, but a Winbond chip.

Now I would like to know if these two clockgenerators are interchangeable. I 'll probably have both clockgens, and _one_ working PCB. Since the winbond-chipped PCB's are the same as the ICS ones (the only difference being a yellow sticker, as far as I know), it normally should work, but you never know...

Are you planning on doing the soldering yourself???

I would think they are interchangeable, and the BIOS will automatically recognize which one you have and offer the extra fsb settings with the ICS.
