removing heat spreaders

i have a dead stick of ram from ocsystem, and it has a nice copper heat spreader on it. ive been looking at it, and it almost looks like they crimped the metal in the center to keep it on, but im not sure. does anyone know how to go about removing one of these and/or how they are attached?

most use double sided tape take a butter nife and ease it off a tad bit at a time. should do the trick!

Also be sure and put your stick of ram in the freezer for 10 minutes or so first. It makes the tape seperate easier.
