BD7-II: difference between "3:4" and "(by SPD) 3:4" AND "Dram Read Thermal

hello everybody!

i just wanna know, if there´s any difference between the BIOS-options "3:4" and "(by SPD) 3:4"?
can anybody tell me?

and what the hell means "Dram Read Thermal Mgmt"?
it´s disabled at the moment...

thx.

Spd is kinda auto setting that manages four or so settings depending on which type of ddr you have.

The "DRAM Read Thermal Mgmt" is an option for ram thermal management. Current DDR ram runs hot and this setting gives you an option to lower the ram temperature for read operation. Overclockers are likely to disable this setting as lowering temperature this way normally means lowering the performance. It's better to buy ramsink or active memory cooling to lower the temperature without sacrificing the performance. Any "write" operation uses thermal management feature by default.
