Non Creative Sound Cards with EAX HD support...

Alrighty, my dad was amazed how good my audigy/inspire 5.1 5300 combo sounds, now he wants me to install something like that to his office computer. Im thinking about giving the audigy to him and getting a better sound card for me, Audigy2 would be a first option, but like ATI/NVIDIA stuff im open to new products. I heard that Hercules Fortissimo III is a nice card, my main concern is to know if it supports EAX HD because i want to use it for gaming mostly. Thnx in advance.

Yes, the Fortissimo has support for EAX and EAX 2. I have a GameTheater XP (uses the same chip I think) and I love it more than my friend's Audigy. The drivers are also really well done. I've never had a problem with this card.

have you tried soldier of fortune 2??? that game requires EAXHD, not sure if EAX2=EAX HD because Heavy Metal FAKK 2 is quite old and supports it...
