Bf1942 Help!!!!

I love playing bf1942 BUT i can never connect to a freaking server!! every time i click to join a server i get a "caould not connect to server" message...Its freaking ****ing me off!!
Has ne one had this problem before? PLease help me.

I am running windows xp pro and dsl btw.

I think you need the new 1.2 patch.

Ok i dld the new patch BUT when its done dling it copies it to another directory, the bf1942 one, but its not in there, i do a search for the patch name and it doesnt show up.

When you click to download it, instead of saving it, try running it from the location. Once it's done downloading it'll automatically run the patch.

Ok, i got the patch installed but i still keep having the same problem.

you might want to try finding and connecting to servers through all seeing eye. there was a long time there i was having the same problems you are. other than that all i can think of would be a firewall (probably not) or a router... ase should work though...

Hey guys, I've got a problem with BF1942 too.

You see, it doesn't $(#&%(@ run!!! This is on my system, both the old motherboard AND the new.....9700Pro, Catalyst 3.0a (and older ones too) and DX9 (and DX8.1)

I get to the splash screen, the screen goes black for a fraction of a second, and I'm staring at my desktop........WTF!!!!!!!!

If you're using some kind of refresh rate lock, you have to change a setting in one of the config files to get it working since the game wants to use 60Hz by default. check the 1.2 version history to see where this new function can be disabled.
That worked for my anyway
