Personally, I would stay away from Geil. I just had a horrible time with my stick of PC2700 Ultra. Basically, it was a stick of samsung with copper heatsinks on it and it would only do PC2700 on the lowest timmings on 2.9 volts

The fact that they use samsung chips is no reason to turn them down. Corsair doesn't produce their own chips either. What it all comes down to is how picky they(geil/corsair) are in terms of selecting chips for their memory.
