Here we go again .............. 2 new beta drivers for Win XP and Win 2000 . This is a headsup for the adventurous Nvidia tweaker out there . I have no current info on performance or new/changed features .

EDIT : Ppl over at Guru3d seem to love them so far . There is also Geforce FX support in these drivers ( not that it will matter until at least 2 weeks from now )

I just saw those when I was DLing drivers on my friends comp for his TI4200. He get's 10100 3dMark to my 9500 3D mark score! tho my geforce3 is very old now, i have way better motherboard cpu and ram and psu and all :). well enough of my shiz braggin those are nice drivers, very stable. he for that 10100 on a TI4200 (no name brand) ESC mobo XP2100+ CPU and 256MB of DDR266 (no name brand) onvboard sound and network, 80GB WD special edition and windows XP pro fully updated.

I've been using the 42.50's for a few days now. Seem to run very stable. My score also went up about 200 (or so) points. I may try out those 42.70's next :D
I got a 500 point boost on my GF4 MX card....
Installed the 42.51 drivers. They wrk fine so far. Only a 15-20 point score improvement in 3dmark2001se(9070). They do seem to look better though. Games seem much more fluid than with the 41.09 drivers I was using.

He is not overclocked at all, it is totaly stock. also if he did OC anything, his comp would fryu his cooling is almost nonexistant. he has a 1cm high aluminum heatrsonk and quiet 60mm fna on his XP 2100+ he's prolly  in there. I really need to mod that thing jsut for decent cooling! but his dad won't let me. ok enough digressing yeah it's at stock.

An update for my score increase..
I thought it was only a couple hundred points, simply because I couldn't remember my previous score. So I did some testing with each driver (41.09 vs. 42.51) and here's the results.
Card - PNY GF4 Ti4200 64 meg OC'd 265/545
41.09 driver = 11589 3dMark
42.51 driver = 12122 3dMark
More than I first thought. Drivers are still working fine, and I recommend them.

I still have better IQ with the 41.09's..
Is directX9 supposed to be used with the 42 drivers?

I'm using 8.1, but it probably doesn't matter which. I'd put on DX9.0, but it's such a pain to go back to 8.1 it's not worth the time.
