i just picked up a gigabyte 8PE667 mobo and it has onboard sound. i was wondering if i can install the drivers for both the onboard sound and the audigy mp3+ and then just disable the onboard sound in the bios and let the audigy work alone.... would that work? or should i just install the audigy drivers and leave the onboard drivers out?

Disable the onboard in BIOS before you do anything, that's what I did on my 7VRXP, XP doesn't even see it. (which it shouldn't)

Exactly, there is no reason to install the onboard drivers if you aren't going to use it.
