I have a GeForce 4 MX with the latest drivers wich I downloaded from www.nvidia.com today.
The problem is that I can't adjust the brightness for my screen (Medion).
When I move the sliders for NVidia's brightness options then nothing changes. Why is that?
What can I do to fix this? I need to get my screen brighter and the screen itself is already set as bright as possible.
please help me.

Have you tried setting the monitor level lower then moving the slider? If that causes the brightness to adjust then I would say your screen just isn't capable of any more.
The other thought I had is that your card might not support that function even though it shows up in the control panel. I have a G4Ti4600 and the ability to set it to 8X agp is in the control panel, but it never takes because my mobo can't handle it. (Ooh, just had a thought) Might also consider whether your mobo can handle that feature.
Could your monitor be dieing? Hope not.
Hope this helps,

Thanks thats very kind. :-)
I don't think my monitor is dying cuz it's only a few months old.
It would be strange if this would be the brightest my monitor could be cuz it's actually pretty dark.
I don't know if my mobo can handle it... I don't even know how I can check that out.
Further help would be very much appriciated.
