nice deal for sure. i ordered them from alienware for 265 shipped and then backed out when i got an email from logitech saying that these speakers were reworked and will have a 500w version. i guess it will take some time for the supply chain of the 450w version to dry up.

wow, then thats the cheapest deal ive seen. its it worth 300$ though? im in need of some good speakers and was thinking the z560 for 150$. another 150$ for 100w and a center speaker.....do you guys think its worth it?

the detail does say:
Speaker System Details - 4 x satellite speaker - 62 Watt ¦ 1 x center channel speaker - 69 Watt ¦ 1 x subwoofer - 188 Watt

Logitech says:
Let the bass pump through the 188-watt subwoofer. At 62 watts (RMS) each, four satellites and a 69-watt center channel provide crystal-clear midrange and highs.

450W version:
Total output power: 450 Watts RMS
Subwoofer power output: 185 Watts RMS
Satellite speaker power output: 265 Watts RMS (53 Watts RMS per channel)

according to the details it is the 500w version! the part number is the same for both versions. kinda lame of logitech. maybe the 450W in the title is old. may be worth a call?

slightly cheaper here:
http://www.pagecomputers.com/cgi-bin/page/B1693838.html
247.10 + 31.40 = $278.50
compared to $283.94 from buy.com

Yup upped to compete better against the new klipsch, honestly though if you use these solely for the computer you will never be able to turn them up past 1/4 of the way without a sharp pain in your head. I use the 560's and they are only 400 watts and I have never turned them past half way unless Im trying to impress someone.

Maximum PC really likes em! They are their top pick for speakers.

buy.com DOES NOT have free shipping on those speakers...so the above deal is much better. i did find that the $15 off electronics coupon does work with these speakers tho. too bad there is no free shipping.

damn...they raised their price on page computer. it's just not meant to be right now.

LOL, I saw them speakers at Best Buy. I love the digital controls. As for your question about the center speaker. It is only good for movies. If you are a music or gamer, the center speaker is almost worthless ^^
