Here in the next few days, I'll going to be getting either a P4 2.4B or 2.53 processor and 1GB of Corsair XMS PC3200 memory. My master plan is to do my best to hit 3Ghz and I need a motherboard that'll help me do this. I've got it narrowed down to either an ASUS P4B533 or P4PE. I'd jump all over the P4PE if it wasn't for some ongoing issues I've been reading about over at Asusboards.com. First is an issue with the AGP/PCI bus manual settings not sticking...

And the other is with the "cold boot" issue. I've had this same problem with my CUSL2-C for the past two years...

And where the P4B533 is concerned, the only thing I find undesirable there is with the fact that you can't set the divider past 3:4 when the FSB is set over 133Mhz.

Could anyone can offer testimonials/opinions with either of these boards so I can make an intelligent decision? Thx much!!

Same here. The only curious thing is when I first turned it on, the mobo turned on when I flipped the switch on the back of the power supply, but after fiddling with stuff and turning it back on, the regular power switch was it's main power switch. I too haven't had any problems with the agp/pci bus not sticking, however, I've only been using the board for about a week. Knock wood.
